Dharamdas is a greedy money-lender, who is always after his 'pound of flesh'. Ruining the lives of people is his profession. Deendayal is a good Samaritan for whom helping the needy is a way of life.

Mangal, Deendayal's son, happens to meet a beautiful village-belle, Bela, and their meeting soon blossoms into love which leads to their marriage.

A quarrel starts between Mangal and Dharamdas' son Gangaram over the dues that Deendayal owed. The quarrel goes to court and Mangal and Gangaram vow to kill each other.

What happened to their enmity?

Where did it lead them to?

How did it affect the lives of the villagers?

For interesting answers to these questions, see EK GAON KI KAHANI.
